After joining Government Officials and the international community to commemorate the 24th International Mother Tongue Day on February 21, 2023, CABTAL proceeded to organise an internal event to further celebrate the day. The internal event held on March 15, 2023 at the CABTAL Chapman Centre.
Mr Keyeh Emmanuel Lufang, the General Director of CABTAL took the floor at the event on behalf of SIL Cameroon, ANACLAC and CABTAL during which he gave updates on what CABTAL had been doing in the area of Multilingual Education.
“To this end, we recently organised a training workshop for community literacy supervisors. They were encouraged to develop curricula locally adapted to their languages and official languages and to start multilingual education classes once they return to the community,” the General Director stated. Recall, this year’s theme is “Multilingual Education – A Necessity To Transform Education.’
